CM COMPOSIT Ducati performance carbon fiber racing crankcase oil breather box assembly to fit Ducati 748-998. This eliminates the standard underseat tray. If you're racing, this is a must-have item! Increase HP by increasing the crankcase volume and reducing resistance through the small OEM breather while maintaining a little negative crankcase pressure. We have experienced 3-5 HP gains while using this system.

Note: This is the easiest to fit crankcase breather box. The breather box was originally designed for a 748R fitment but fits all mono subframes. In some cases, you may have to relocate some relays. This will fit the on the early bikes with the P8 computer as well as the later models with the small computer.

This system works best with a open (valveless) crankcase breather such as the large diameter STM racing breather and a one way valve at the airbox. Run tubing from the crankcase breather to this box and then into the air box like the OEM unit. The breather box will work with an OEM or Carbon Fiber airbox.

Pre-preg Carbon Fiber parts use less resin because it is "cooked" under pressure in an autoclave which results in a stronger and lighter product than typical wet-lay up Carbon Fiber because it eliminates excess resin. The autoclave process eliminates voids, pushes out excess resin and creates a denser more uniform product that is lighter, stronger and more flexible. Pre-preg is the
preferred method for racing, and aerospace. It is more expensive to build with this method but it results in a
superior product.
